Associate

Marcus Bell

Marcus works across corporate and commercial matters, with a focus on contract review and transaction support.

Marcus supports the corporate and contracts practices on formation, governance documentation, contract review and due diligence.

He manages the firm's contract review process, preparing the issues lists that clients receive before any redlines go out.

Before joining Nexum Law, Marcus clerked for a commercial litigation practice in Chicago, which shaped how he reads agreements: he looks first at the clauses a court would examine if the relationship broke down.

Marcus prepares the first-pass issues list on most commercial agreements the firm reviews, keeps corporate records and board approvals current for outside general counsel clients, and coordinates document collection during due diligence. Clients often deal with him day to day on routine contract questions, with a partner reviewing his recommendations before they go out.
